 | Happy 2010 | Monday 04 January, 2010 | |
Awesome 2010 to everybody. May your heroes stand strong, your allies be loyal, your weapons strike sure, your armor be impenetrable and your quests filled with treasure.
Found this on the WoW Forums recently. Games I Play where you can play WoW TCG online. Set up a free account, build a deck and you're ready to play against anybody anywhere. Takes a few games to get the hang of the controls but it works pretty cool. |

 | More Site Changes | Monday 30 November, 2009 | |
Hi guys
Did some more work to bring the site into line with it's primary function i.e. a WoW TCG Card Database and Management Tool.
You can now see a comlete list of Registered Users and the Class Icons in the top and left frames now filter Cards with that particular Class Restriction instead of listing players in that particular class.
I'm considering dropping the Events Section completely as we now have users from all over the world and it just isn't practical anymore. Let me know how you feel about that?
Thanks ... war |

 | Site update | Thursday 26 November, 2009 | |
Hi guys
Scourgewar is now fully updated with all the card info and images.
I've applied for domain registration and the craftofwar.co.za domain name should be up and running in the next few days.
I also added a links box on the main page. If you would like to exchange links, please contact the Webmaster via Contact us. Links can either be text format or preferably a small banner button (maximum 180px wide X 80px high). Larger permanent banner adds are also up for grabs at the bottom of the main page, but you need to offer me something cool in exchange for a spot.
You can also now export your Decks, your Collection and your Wishlist to excel.

 | Update | Thursday 29 October, 2009 | |
Hi guys
Cross referenced the database against 3 other card databases. I fixed a few minor errors in the database and updated all the card rules. Also updated a few images. I think I can confidently say that Craft of War is now the most comprehensive, most accurate WoW TCG Database on the web.
I'm looking at getting a domain for Craft of War, but have had comments that the site-name sucks, so any suggestions on what we can change the name to? I'm considering Keys to the Armory or Field Repair Bot 74A.
Please submit suggestion via Contact us. |

 | Welcome | Wednesday 16 September, 2009 | |
Big welcome to all the new people who found there way here from the official WOW TCG Forums. I hope you find our site usefull and please, if you have any suggestions to improve the site, let me know? Also, please point out any errors in the database, so that I can fix it (nobody's perfect and when working with close on 2800 records mistakes happen).
Please feel free to post any WOW TCG News/Articles of interest. I specifically did allow for comments in the News Section, because I did not want a Forum type setup (Besides, I think the official WOW TCG Forums have that covered already).
Updated the search function last night so that your search results are now sortable (click on any heading to sort).
Also added a Printer Friendly Version link to My Decks which you can use when submitting your Deck Lists at Tournaments.
Cool, thanks and all that

 | MTG Fanatic Prices | Thursday 10 September, 2009 | |
Hi guys
Been having some fun... Added MTG Fanatic Prices to all the cards. Right now it only updates when I tell it to, but I'll have it all automated pretty soon so that it updates once a week. Every price also has a link to MTG Fanatic if you want to go from WoW TCG Durban directly to shopping at MTG Fanatic.
Also fixed up the incorrect email address on news letters, so if any of you replied to my invites for next week, please resend the email to my kickasskomix address.

 | Charge! | Tuesday 03 February, 2009 | |
I updated the Cards listing, which now has extra filters for Race Restrictions, Class Restrictions and Talent Restrictions (I didn't include Profession Restrictions, because currently that only applies to two cards "Alchemist's Stone" and "Talasite Owl" from the Crafting Rewards Program.
I also updated the card database and added Artist Names, Flavor Text and Official Rulings to each card (where applicable/available) and uploaded slightly better quality images for all the cards.
Wednesday nights at my place is back on for any and all who can make it. Usually starts around 18h30 and ends whenever the last person leaves.

 | Drums of War | Wednesday 10 December, 2008 | |
Finally updated the site with all the Drums of War cards.
For those of you who want to know more about locations, check out this article
The bottom line is:
Locations represent your hero’s base of operations or a place where he or she has recently visited or explored. From a gameplay perspective, locations are similar to quests in that you place them face up in your resource row. There are, however, two major differences between locations and quests:
1. When you complete a quest, you have to turn it face down. Locations have no such requirement. You can use a location’s power over and over.
2. You can control only one location at a time, even if the locations have different names. If you ever control two or more locations, all but one of them (your choice) are immediately turned face down. Each player may control one location.
Wednesday nights at my place is back on, so BE THERE!

 | Kill you twice! | Monday 13 October, 2008 | |
Hi friends and foes
Got my home PC up and running again and to celebrate my refound access to the wonderful world of web mechanics I added a few new features to the Craft of War.
1. Side-deck Feature
Once you have added cards to your deck, you can now also add them to your side-deck and vice-versa.
2. 2nd Deck Feature
Create a 2nd Hero and a 2nd Deck in My Account.
The Card Listing and My Collection Listing now have a +Deck2 link which will add cards to your 2nd Deck.
Have fun

 | Official Tournaments | Tuesday 16 September, 2008 | |
Hi guys
How would you all feel about WoW TCG Durban Membership Fees. The membership fees can be used to purchase prizes for the tournaments and to buy new raid decks and it would include automatic entry into any WoW TCG Durban Tournaments and Raids.
I'm thinking something like a hundred bucks each for the year. Just the fact that you've paid a membership fee might encourage people to show up for WoW get-togethers more often and the prizes at official tournaments should be enough incentive to make sure we get enough players every time.
Some ideas that's been floating around in my head is to make up prize packets for each class. That way, no matter what class you're in, you'll get something useful if you win the tournament, instead of getting boosters that may or may not have cards that you can use. Another option is to build a collection of "prize cards" from the latest WoW TCG release and the winners of each tournament can choose cards from that collection.

We're looking for WoW TCG Players from all over the country so that we can look into the possibility of WoW Regionals and Nationals. Anybody who is interested and or playing WoW already, please contact me or any of the other players.
Most of us have lots of extra cards and are willing to help whoever is in the Durban area to get started right away.
We're also looking at hosting local tournaments every second Saturday or Sunday with prizes. |
